Procedure to Make Dark Chocolate Cake

A piece of cake sitting on top of a wooden table

Step 1: Preheat the microwave oven to 350 degrees (180 degrees Celsius).

Step 2: In a big mixing cup, combine all of the dry ingredients.

Step 3: 2 minutes on medium pressure, beat in the eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla extract.

Step 4: Pour in the hot water and stir well (batter will be thin). Discharge the batter into the pans.

Step 5: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a wooden pick inserted in the middle comes out clean.

Step 6: Allow 10 minutes for the pans to cool. Remove the cakes from the pans and set them to cool fully on wire racks.

Step 7: Creaming

Step 8: In a medium mixing dish, cream the butter until light and fluffy. Alternate adding powdered sugar and cocoa with cream, beating until smooth. If required, add a splash of milk to achieve the desired consistency.

Step 9: Pour in the vanilla extract. You’ll get about 2 cups of frosting from this recipe.

Step 10: Assemble

Step 11: Place the first cake sheet on a cake tray. Spread about 12 cups of frosting evenly over the end.

Step 12: Attach the second layer of cake with an equal layer of frosting on top.

Step 13: Place the final layer of cake on top and frost the outside.

Step 14: Finish with chocolate curls or other decorations, then chill for several hours before serving.
